Biography
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Athoy Mahmud Rizvi better known by his stage name A. Mahmud Rizvi, is a Bangladeshi Musician / Composer/ Sarodiya /Songwriter /Vocal/ Producer. He was born in 5th May 2003 in Jessore, Bangladesh. Mahmud Rizvi started his career at the age of 18 as a Music Producer & Instrument Player with Anandanagar A Folk & Fusion Band. Later he started releasing his own track on major streaming platforms.
He first released Asha on Spotify, Apple Music & Youtube Music in 2024 and then after a few time he released his music on many international music platform like Deezer, iTunes, JioSaavan, Facebook & Instagram. He is best known for his single Jar Keu Nei from the album ‘Asha’ & ‘Dehorajjer Bela Duiba Jai’ from his solo folk album ‘AtmaSuddhi’.
Musical Evolution and Accomplishments
He started his career as a guitarist after that he kept learning new instruments and by 2024 he could play many folk instruments like Dotara, Manjira, Kanjira, Jhumur, Dubki, Banjo (Indian Style), Ektara, Khomok, Khartal, Nal, Violin, Sarinda & many more. He has his own studio named ‘Ghuri Productions’ in Uttara,Dhaka. You can see Akib Bin Islam as a cinematographer and Farzat Amin as a Graphic Designer of Ghuri Productions. They work together from the very beginning of Ghuri Productions.
Learning and Future Aspirations
Later on November 2024 he started learning Classical Music & a Classical Instrument ‘Sarod’ from Aashish Khan School of World Music under guidance of Dwiptanil Bhattacharjee & Shiraz Ali Khan the grandson of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and kept working in his studio hopefully he’ll come up again with a new track soon!

AtmaSuddhi is a solo album of A. Mahmud Rizvi. This is a folk tribute album to the Bauls of Bangladesh. This song cleans our heart and mind. And most importantly these songs are not for entertainment its a devotional prayer towards God. In this album we can see compositions of different Baul Legend of Bangladesh. We’ll get to see composition of Fakir Lalon Shah (1772-1890), Shah Abdul Karim (1916-2009), Chondidas (1339-1399), Akkas Dewan, Kari Amiruddin, Lal Mia & Kanak Chapa. This is an ongoing album by A. Mahmud Rizvi where 5 songs are already released and he’s coming soon with 2 new release from this album. And about the two remaining tracks the recording session is already done. Only the mixing & mastering process in going on. Soon we’ll get to see the two remaining tracks of this Album.

Asha - EP
Asha is my first solo original album. This EP contains 4 songs one is a tribute to Fakir Lalon Shah and other 3 is my original lyric. Mostly I played, recorded, composed, mixed & mastered this album by myself. Abdullah Al Nayeem played flute on my first track of this album. Asha means Hope. We all know that at some point we can do nothing but hope. Asha is written & composed by myself. This is song about hope. Abdullah Al Nayeem played the flute part here.

Studio Ghuri
On January 7 2024, Rizvi opened his Studio named ‘Studio Ghuri’. He bought some home studio gear and started producing & composing music. Farzat Amin & Akib Bin Islam joined him and helped him manage everything. Farzat Amin designed every Album Cover or any Poster related to Studio Ghuri. He is a very talented & creative designer. He is the Co-Founder & Lead Graphic & Web designer from the very beginning of Studio Ghuri. Akib Bin Islam is the Co-Founder & Lead Cinematographer of Studio Ghuri. Most of the music videos are directed by him as a lead cinematographer. Also sometimes we can see Akib as a Manjira player. & lastly we can see A. Mahmud Rizvi as a Founder & Music Producer of Studio Ghuri. He produces all the sounds related to Studio Ghuri.
